CASE (Centre for Access to Services in English)

About CASE

Serving OLMC communities in Mauricie and Centre-du-Quebec, CASE facilitates access to essential services through referrals, navigation assistance, and community liaisons.

Community Context

The English speakers served by CASE are subject to persistent socioeconomic disadvantages.

Many training and employment programs operate exclusively in French, forcing residents to leave their communities for services or disengage altogether.

In addition, OLMC populations include higher proportions of newcomers and visible minorities, who face additional barriers.

COF-Supported Project

Now, CASE is using support from the COF to offer English-speaking job seekers in Mauricie and Centre-du-Quebec:

  • Employment counselling
  • Case management
  • Resource navigation
  • Referral services

The initiative also focuses on creating clearer pathways by coordinating with English-language service providers, Services Québec, CJEs, Le Pont, and Stratégie Carriere.

Finally, CASE's outreach across the region will ensure access for rural and underserved communities.
