About ELAN

ELAN connects English-speaking artists and cultural workers across Quebec, fostering professional development, collaboration, and resource-sharing.

Community Context

Quebec’s arts sector has evolved significantly in recent years, requiring new approaches to career development, self-promotion, and digital engagement. Emerging and marginalized artists—including BIPOC artists—often face additional barriers accessing professional opportunities and industry networks.

COF-Supported Project

ELAN is offering Find Your Place and Grow, a professional development initiative designed to help English-speaking artists adapt to changing industry expectations.

The project features:

• Webinars on digital tools, self-promotion, and transferable skills
• Hybrid employment and self-employment workshops
• Networking opportunities with peers and established professionals

Delivered through both online and in-person activities, the project emphasizes peer connection and practical skill-building across disciplines.
