Project LOVE Quebec

About Project LOVE Quebec

Since 1993, Project LOVE Quebec has used arts-based programming to build confidence, communication, creativity, and leadership among marginalized youth, working mainly in English-language high schools across Montréal, Québec City, and Montérégie.

Community Context

Many of the young people LOVE serves enter the job market while also dealing with poverty, discrimination, immigration, neurodivergence, or involvement in youth protection. As a result, they often lack early work experience and have less of an understanding of employer expectations and hiring practices.

COF-Supported Project

The COF-supported project Engaging Youth Through LOVE features employment services for English-speaking marginalized youth in Montréal, delivered through LOVE’s established school and community partnerships.

The project features:

  • Personalized employment plans, counselling, and follow-up
  • Coaching on CVs, cover letters, interviews, and online job-search tools
  • “Dream Job” sessions, networking, and mentorship with working professionals
  • Referrals to training, education, mental health, and specialized employment services

Participants build confidence, workplace readiness, and professional skills while exploring employment pathways aligned with their interests and goals.
