The Multicultural and Diversity Project

About the Multicultural and Diversity Project

The Multicultural and Diversity Project is committed to advancing equity and opportunity for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) communities across Canada through education, employment, and social development programs.

Community Context

English-speaking visible minorities in Quebec face structural barriers to employment, including lack of culturally responsive services, limited access to professional networks, and credential recognition.

Discrimination in hiring practice and underemployment remain ongoing concerns, particularly for newcomers and skilled professionals.

COF-Supported Project

The organization is introducing Scale Up 2026, a culturally responsive employment initiative for English-speaking visible minorities in Montreal.

The project features:

  • A Career Empowerment Conference tailored for visible minorities
  • A Self-Employment and Employment Form for artists
  • An Employment Summit featuring skills workshops

The initiative will also deliver a job fair providing fast-track pre-employment support on AI competencies, digital upskilling, in-demand AI and tech-enabled roles, transferable digital skills.
