About Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre

Based in Little Burgundy, Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre offers programs that promote self-reliance, growth, and fulfillment, with a strong emphasis on building life and work skills.

Community Context

English-speaking residents in the area often face a complex web of employment barriers that extend beyond job readiness, including difficulties navigating French-language systems, limited access to training, and gaps in digital skills, communication skills, mental health supports, housing, and legal services.

COF-Supported Project

With its COF-enabled Job Search Hub and Services initiative, Tyndale is:

• Adding a dedicated Employment Counsellor
• Establishing a computer-equipped job search hub

The counsellor delivers personalized, trauma-informed coaching while connecting clients to specialized supports.

The hub enables residents to search for jobs independently, work on resumes, and engage in online learning, with staff on hand for orientation and troubleshooting.

The program also includes light-touch follow-up support after placement or training.
