About YES

YES Employment + Entrepreneurship supports English-speaking Quebecers through programs in employment, entrepreneurship, and the arts. Its work focuses on helping individuals build sustainable careers and contribute to the province’s economic growth. 

Community Context

English-speaking communities across Quebec experience disparities in employment outcomes and income, as well as ongoing challenges in accessing appropriate services. Addressing these barriers strengthens not only the workforce participation of these communities but also the broader provincial economy.

Services Supported by the Enabling Fund for Official Language Minority Communities (OLMCs) 

YES delivers online and in-person employment assistance services to English-speaking job seekers across Quebec, including: 

• Employment and self-employment counselling 

• Mentorship opportunities 

• Workshops and e-learning programs 

• Labour market information 

• Networking and referrals 

In addition, YES leads the Community Opportunity Fund (COF), a province-wide initiative that funds and supports OLMC organizations across Quebec in delivering employment assistance services. Through this role, YES strengthens coordination, expands regional access to services, and ensures that supports are responsive to local community needs.
